A second rotating ring has 24-hour markers. This is used to display time in 24 different time zones. Local time is told by a standard hour and minute hand. Mechanically it has a self-winding movement. The Patek Philippe World Time has the automatic Caliber 240 HU self-winding movement. This movement is coveted for the elegance of it's layout and it's extremely compact design. The Caliber 240 HU is comprised of 239 individual parts and features 22K gold mini rotor.
